I’ve been sick this weekend, a run-of-the-mill cold that kept me pinned to my bed more out of a desire to keep my germs to myself than any true wretchedness of spirit/nasal passages. I read three books and worked on my roadtrip plans. Today I am well on my way to being on the mend, but I didn’t make it outside – which reminded me that I also hadn’t shared any pictures from my recent wanders. I’ve been trying to get outside for a walk every nice day while I’m at my parents’ house, and the weather has been very obliging. Here’s a selection of photos from the last week:

Thank you L – glad you enjoyed them. The closer I get to leaving Maine the more I am appreciating it’s beauty… I kind of feel like the sky and sea are conspiring against me, trying to put on one last big show, trying to get me to stay!

I’m off sick and finished reading The Forest of Hands and Teeth. Review is due tomorrow. It’s quite haunting.
It’s a wonderful landscape. I like the blue-lead colored sky.
I hope you wont miss the sea too much.

Fortunately I am headed to the opposite coast and will have the Pacific to keep me company instead of the Atlantic. And I miss the mountains here in Maine, so it will be nice to be close to them again.
I’m eager to read your review of The Forest of Hands and Teeth! So glad you read it – it is haunting indeed…
